What is true Japanese whisky?
TETSU is our provisional answer to that question.
The wisdom that runs through Japanese brewing — sake yeast, rice, and Japanese cedar casks.
Rooted in the pride of a sake brewery, we pour Japan’s spirit of craftsmanship into the Western-born form of whisky,
and let East and West — tradition and innovation — meet and transform.
As Tochigi’s first authentic Japanese whisky, after three years of maturation, TETSU was born in October 2025 — carrying time and thought within the bottle.
At TWSC 2025, one of Asia’s largest whisky competitions, the distillery was honored with “INNOVATOR OF THE YEAR (Best Distillery Award),”
recognized as one of the most innovative whisky distilleries of 2025.

“New Pot” refers to spirit straight off the still, before cask filling.
Its aromas and flavors can be strikingly different from what many imagine as “whisky.”
